Hoping for a Good Comeback

I could really use a good comeback story, and what could be better than a fallen diva rising again on Oprah?! You know who I mean.

I heard this morning that she’ll be siging a song from her new album on Good Morning Amercia tomorrow…a must see.

But the real event will be her first big interview on Oprah on September 14. Set your tivo internets!

Oprah and an ugly rug

Did you just hear Oprah? They filmed today’s show at Art & Soul. No joke – check out the hideous carpet when you watch on tivo tonight. You know you all record Oprah or wish you did! But why doesn’t Art & Soul hire an interior decorator?! The rug looks like someone threw up on it.

Btw, our new rug should arrive this weekend – hope it’s as nice as I remember it.

An Empire in DC

Oh the joy if Oprah buys a house in DC! I agree with the DCist that it seems unlikely she’d move her “Empire” here, but just an occasional chance sighting would be amazing! Oprah…make DC more celebrity-fabulous. Please!

OPRAH Winfrey wants to be as close to Barack Obama as possible. Insiders say Winfrey has started a preliminary search for a home in Washington, DC. A nine-bedroom Georgetown mansion she’s said to have asked about is listed at $50 million, but another source said, “She has never personally been to see it.” We’re sure Winfrey will try to swing by during Inauguration week. Her rep didn’t return calls.
