New Traditions

3 Dec

This year my mom discovered a midwest tradition that we will be incorporating into out NYC holiday eating fest from now on. The Kringle. We had one in Buffalo while visiting MJD’s family and it was so good. It’s a really sweet pastry that can still kind of counts as breakfast.  Yum!

We also treated ourselves to so much dessert — chocolate bombs, chocolate candies, cookies…my sister made brownies (she loves to bake!)…And, MJD’s mom got so many pies – it was an impressive assortment!

So many pies for eight people!

We are all quite content after the weekend. I just love the holiday season. I can’t wait for more goodies as we get closer to Christmas and New Years, and I certainly hope there will be a Kringle at my door next year (hint, hint!).
